Leah Nicole Solis, 40, of Itasca passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Tom Wood of First United Methodist Church in Itasca officiating.
Leah was born June 19, 1976 in New Martinsville, West Virginia, to Terry Phillips and Linda Postlethwait. On August 9, 2014, she was united in marriage to Victor Solis in Itasca. For the past eight years, she was employed as a teachers assistant with Itasca ISD. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Itasca.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Raymond “Mack” and Irene Postlethwait, and brother, William “Will” Phillips, all of West Virginia.
Survivors include her husband, Victor Solis, son, Cameron Wells, daughter, Adrian Solis, and grandson, Noel Renteria, all of Itasca; father, Terry Phillips and wife, Cathy, of West Virginia; mother, Linda Payne of Itasca; grandparents, William “Dick” and Lucy Phillips of Wileyville, WV; step-grandmother, Laverna Neff of Paden City, WV; sisters, Tera Phillips and husband, Jeremiah of West Virginia and Rebakah Payne of Crowley; brother, Caleb Payne and fiancé, Dayanera, of Peoria; uncles and aunts, Dennis Phillips and Kathy Henry-Phillips, both of New Martinsville, WV, Roger Postlethwait and wife, Diana, and Dale Postlethwait and wife, Judy, all of West Virginia; nephew, Isaac Phillips of West Virginia; and nieces, Kadence Phillips of West Virginia and Chloe Arellano of Cleburne.
