Lela Dotson

Lela Mae Dotson, 73, of Sulphur Springs passed away Friday, January 1, 2016, at Hopkins Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs. A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.

Born on February 20, 1942 in Abilene, Texas, Lela Mae was the daughter of France (Jim) Harmon and Jewell Wright Harmon. She lived in Austin State School and moved to Alvarado with Educare Services in 1986 to a small group home. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Memorials may be made to Henderson Baptist Church , Special Ministry Classes, 919 E. Henderson St, Cleburne, TX 76031.

She was preceded in death by her parents, France (Jim) and Jewell Harmon, and brothers H. R. Harmon and Richard Harmon.

Lela Mae is survived by a sister, Judy Henson and husband, William H., Jr. of Point, Texas; nieces Deanne Webb and husband, Jeff, and children, Chase Webb, Kayla Stettner and husband, Chad and family; Tammy Martin and husband, Paul, and sons, Justin, Zachary and Jacob; nephews Roger Harmon, Scotty Harmon, Richard Wright Harmon Gent, Jackson Harmon; numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.
