Lena Davis

Lena Davis, 94, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. Gene Edens officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.

Lena was born March 2, 1917 in Mexia to Raymond and Etta Mae (Wright) Pitts. She grew up in Hubbard. She married Wayne Davis and they lived in Dawson until moving to Hillsboro in 1948. Lena was a homemaker and a member of College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include her son, Doug Davis and wife, Dorothy, of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Willman and husband, Chuck, Annette Lester and husband, David, and Molly Baucum and husband, Jay; and four great-grandsons.
