Lenora Trojan

Lenora Matilda Radke Trojan, 86, of West formerly of Malone, died Monday, May 9, 2005, at West Rest Haven Nursing Home. Lenora was born June 4, 1918 in Penelope the daughter of Otto and Matilda Piel Radke. She was the fourth of eight children and grew up and lived most of her life in the Malone area. On June 30, 1918 she was baptized at St. Peters Lutheran Church in the Walling Community. As a child and adult she was very active in church activities. On September 4, 1932 she was confirmed and her confirmation verse was Eph. 6:10-11. At the time of her death, she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. On November 21, 1939 Lenora married Victor Trojan in Malone. They were married for 45 years before he preceded her in death on May 15, 1984. They were blessed with one daughter, Janice, on April 16, 1954. Lenora found great joy in being a mother, housewife, and helping her husband on the family farm. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease in 1999 and lived at West Rest Haven Nursing home in West until her death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Lafon Radke, Alvin Radke, and Olin Radke; and one sister, Ella Degner. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Kucera and husband, Ervin, of West; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, and Stefanie, all of West, whom she loved and enjoyed being a part of their lives; two brothers, Lother Radke and Alton Radke both of Hillsboro; a sister, Nelda Schulz of Hillsboro; a sister-in-law, Leona Radke of Hubbard; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
