Lesley Newman

Lesley Fern Newman, 46, of Argyle, passed away on January 3, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney with Dr. Gerald Dudley officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Lesley will lie-in-state from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney. A visitation will be held from 12 - 2 p.m., prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

Lesley was born on January 26, 1972, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to Waymond and LaDonna (White) Weaver. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1990 and received her bachelors degree in computer science from University of North Texas. On December 18, 2015, she married Michael Newman in Southlake, Texas.

A very artistic and creative person, she enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She was the executive secretary for Donald Jones Consulting Company. Lesley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Newman; children, Erin Dietschy and Ethan Dietschy of Lantana, Texas and Jacob Newman of Keller, Texas; her parents, Waymond and LaDonna Weaver of Whitney; brothers, Russell Weaver and wife, Pandora of Paris, Texas and Charles Weaver and wife, Page of Conroe, Texas; sister, Leann Green and husband, Chuck of Eagle Mountain Lake; and mother-in-law,Vangie Newman of Keller, Texas.
