Leslie R. Gacsal, 67, of Hillsboro died Friday, March 16, 2007 in Hillsboro. Leslie better known as Les was born to Maria and Istven Gacsal in Pilis, Hungary on May 1, 1939. There he was educated in the Hungarian Armed Forces as a tractor mechanic. During the Hungarian Revolution in 1956, he and his brother were captured by invading forces. Later, they were able to escape the concentration camp and immigrate to the United States. He settled in New Jersey where he met his soul mate Audrey Gortner. They were married on November 24, 1962. In 1973, they moved to Arlington, Texas to raise their three children. Les worked as a machine repairman for Lockheed Martin, and he retired after 26 years of service. He was a loving father and husband. He will be greatly missed. Les was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and his wife and soul mate, Audrey. Survivors include his brother, Sandor Gacsal; daughter, Starr Spense and husband, Steve; daughter, Denise Glenn and husband, Mark; son, Leslie Lee Gacsal; grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, Lindsey, Chelsea, Perry, Ashton, and Drake; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
