Leslie Rape Jr

Leslie Ervin Rape, Jr. passed away on April 14, 2006 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. He was the son of Leslie E. Rape Sr. and Reva Walters Rape. Leslie was preceded in death by his father the 31st of May 1942, his mother, the 15th of March 1956. He obeyed the gospel at an early age and was a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He was 2nd Lt, MS in Texas National guard and a member of the V. F. W. Leslie worked for Brown and Root, Morrison and Knudsun in California, Washington and Louisiana before his health began to fail due to spinal cord deterioration and returned to Whitney where he lived at home before going to Park Plaza Nursing Home. Later he was transferred to Bellmead Nursing Home in Bellmead, Texas where he remained until his death. A sister, Joe Pearl Eddleman; niece, Janis and husband Troy Gatlin all of Whitney; great niece, Nita Walsworth and family of Crowley and great nephew, Chris Robles and family of Frisco survive Leslie.
