Lester Jordon, Jr

Lester “The Bee Man” Weldon Jordon, Jr., 79, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013, at this residence. Funeral services are at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM prior to service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory.

Lester was born November 27, 1933 in Hamilton to Lester Weldon and Emma Dallie (Cude) Jordon, Sr. On April 11, 1965, he married Patsy Joan Karl in Hillsboro. An avid outdoors man, Lester enjoyed woodworking, fishing, tending his cattle, and raising his bees for 60 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Paul Edward Jordon; and a brother, Timothy Warren Jordon.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patsy Jordon of Hillsboro; four children, Elizabeth Ellen Jordon-Farris and husband, Paul, of Cleburne, Lonnie Douglas Jordon and spouse, Betty Sawyer, of Alvarado, Raymond Willis Jordon and spouse, Christie, of Cleburne, and Joy Jordon of Hillsboro; three brothers, Charles Jordon and wife, Kelly, of Cleburne, and Richard Jordon and wife, Glenda, and Henry Jordon, all of Hillsboro; sister, Ethel Woods of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Aliesha Rae Haney, Lonnie Douglas Jordon, Jr., Brad Justin Jordon, Rebecca Joy Jordon, Raymond Paul Jordon, and Gabrielle Jordon, all of Cleburne; and nine great-grandchildren, Lonnie “Trae” Douglas Jordon, III, Alissa Rae Lee Haney, Dawson Jimmy Haney, J. C. Weldon Jordon, Abby Toi-Leigh Jordon, Mason Lynn Jordon, Paige Diane Jordon, Brayden Scott Jordon, and Jenna Marie Dawn Jordon.
