Letha Chollar Heath of Trophy Club, formerly of Whitney, passed away, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Woodridge Rehab and Long Term Care Facility in Grapevine.

Visitation will be Friday, December 2 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Home in Whitney. The celebration of her life will be at the Whitney Church of Christ, Saturday, December 3 at 11:00 am, to which all are invited. A private graveside service will be held at the Heath Cemetery prior to the memorial service.

For her friends and family in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, the family is hosting a reception and celebration of her life at the Marriott Solano, Highway 114 at Kirkwood, on Sunday, December 4, from 2:00-4:00pm, to which all are invited.

She was born in Fort Worth and was a graduate of Polytechnic High School. Letha was employed with Southwestern Bell before moving to Whitney, Texas in 1956. She was a member of the Whitney Church of Christ and had a long career with DSA, Inc., in Cleburne. She moved back to the Metroplex in 1996 and resided in Trophy Club for fifteen years. While in Trophy Club, she was an active advocate of Metroport Meals on Wheels - delivering meals, volunteering at Sadie’s Resale Shop and assisting with the Senior Citizens Center in Roanoke. Family was of primary importance to her and she was the family leader in reunions, holiday events, and family get-togethers. She was an avid crocheter, cook, pet owner, and full-time grandma and great-grandma.

Letha is survived by her son Daniel and daughter-in-law Patsy of Trophy Club, daughter Shirley Teague of Atlanta, Ga., and daughter Kathryn Andree of Dallas. Seven grandchildren, including Kenney Heath and wife Raygenna of Whitney, Erik Heath and wife Kelly of Atlanta, Kendal Teague of Brownwood, Danielle Alcala, Katelyn, Brandon and Christopher Andree of Dallas. Two great-grandchildren, Brady and Trevor Heath of Whitney. One sister, Mary Howard of Azle and brother Worth Chollar of Marietta, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband Ladell and son Kenneth, parents Worth and Ivy Chollar, brother George Chollar, and sister Ivy May Miars.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the outstanding staff of Woodridge Rehab and Care Center in Grapevine for their compassionate and professional dedication to Letha.
