Leticia (Ramirez) Duron

Leticia Duron ,69, passed away peacefully February 18, 2024. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 23, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Covington, with Pastor Marc Burnett, Sr. officiating,  A burial will follow at Covington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 22, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Covington.

She was born on April 11, 1954, in Los Vatos Valparaiso, Zacatecas. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. She was married to Pedro Duron, and they recently celebrated their fifty-second anniversary. They were two birds madly in love and spent every minute of every day together as much as possible, whether it was cooking together, reading together, shopping, watching their shows, going to church together, she was a devoted wife to her husband. Together they had six children. Leticia was a grandma to twenty-eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren whom she loved very much and always thought about . She may not have had all the money, but what she did have was an abundance of love, hugs and kisses to give. She would put so much love into her cooking that it would feed your soul. If it was one thing she tried to share it was love, laughter and happiness. She would always go above and beyond to help everyone around her and would brighten up everywhere she would walk. She will forever live in our hearts and never be forgotten.

Preceded in death by her parents, Leticia is survived by her children, María Méndez, Mateo Durón, Armando Durón, Pedro Durón Jr., Edna Sabala, Héctor Durón; twenty-eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
