Levi Horne

Levi Horne, 79, of Hillsboro died Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Levi was born December 10, 1930 in Hillsboro, where he grew up, the son of Sydney and Lydia Osborne Horne. He served his county in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. On December 22, 1967 he married Alice Hathaway. For 25 years, he constructed communication towers. Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Syd Horne; and two sisters, Billie Williford and Lydia Teakell. Survivors include his wife, Alice Horne of Hillsboro; children, Scott Horne and wife, Amy, of China Spring, Lisa Green and husband, Brian, of Hewitt, and Carolyn Meaden and husband, David, Keela Mercer, and Sherry Guerts and husband, Mike, all of Marshall, MN; two sisters, Mary Bailey of Hillsboro and Betsy Prince of McKinney; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
