Lewis Modrall

Lewis was born December 28, 1916 in Blackwell, Texas, where he grew up, the son of Willie Lawson and Etta Amanda Phillips Modrall. Lewis served in the U. S. Army during WWII and was the last of 11 children. He was a heavy equipment operator and was a Baptist. On September 4, 1971 he married Maidene Mitchell and she preceded him in death on June 2, 2004. Survivors include six step-children, Floyd C. Williams, Jr. of Hillsboro, Catherine Gilliland of El Paso, Jewella Long of Hillsboro, Leona Bowling of Washington, Frank J. Williams, Sr. of Hillsboro, and Wayne Williams of Arizona; two sisters, Ede Skeen of Bronte and Gladys Modrall; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
