Libba Mosley, 76, of New Braunfels died Sunday, October 11, 2009, at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. Libba was born March 5, 1932 in Hillsboro the daughter of J. D. and Emma Lucille Barnett Sanders. On March 3, 1951 she married Sammie Mosley in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2008. After their marriage, their football career began. This career would carry them from Hillsboro, Plains, Elgin, Ozona, Corpus Christi King, and then finally to Humble, where they retired and later moved to Wimberley. Libba loved watching football on TV. Her favorite teams were Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Aggies. She also loved watching her grandsons play football and her granddaughter play volleyball all for the Wimberley Texans. Gran loved her grandchildren dearly. They will cherish the love and support she gave them forever. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Janice Marie Cearley. Survivors include her children, Karen Mosley and Michael of New Braunfels, Judy Slaughter and husband, Tom, of Houston, and Mike Mosley of Wimberley; brother, Billy Tom Sanders and wife, Ruby, of San Marcos; 5 grandchildren, Justin Slaughter and wife, Janae, Brent Slaughter and wife, Callan, and Ashley Leach all of Houston, Kindal Mosley of Humble, and Cheryl Duke and husband, Nick, of New Braunfels; two great-grandchildren, Micah and Maggie Duke; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loyal Jack Russell Terrier companion to the end, Trixie.
