Funeral service will take place at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro, Texas, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro.
Liduvina, better known as "Lido” by the many who knew and loved her, was born to Ma. De Los Angeles Baltazar and Manuel Torres V. in CD.L. Cardenas, Michoacan. Mexico, where she spent a brief time before her family moved to Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo then she moved to Mexico City to further her education where she obtained certification in cosmetology in 1992. That same year she moved to Carrollton, Texas. In 1999 she pursued a certification as a message therapist at Parker School of Massage Therapy in Dallas, Texas. Shortly after, she met and married Moises Martinez of Carrollton, Texas, her beloved and committed husband of almost twenty years until her death.
They moved to Hillsboro, Texas in 2012, where they bought land to establish permanent roots for their children and future generations. She enjoyed living out in the country because of the simplicity and down to earth nature.
She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Torres V., her mother, Ma. De Los Angeles Baltazar and brother Felix Torres.
Liduvina is survived by her husband, Moises Martinez; sons, Moises and Ernesto Martinez; daughters, Nelcie, Brianna, Jessie, and Galy Martinez; dear family friend Arturo Caballero; her brothers, Hugo and Jose Torres; sisters: Beneranda Torres Malone and Celia Torres Alaniz; several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and an extreme endless list of friends throughout a short well lived life here on earth. Her final resting place will be here in Hillsboro, Texas, a community that welcomed her along with her family with open arms, she was proud to call home.
Liduvina had a dynamic personality she always kept busy, and it was challenging or near to impossible keeping up with her and her strong work ethic! She was an optimist, kind, nurturing soul and always went the extra mile with anyone that she crossed paths with. She enjoyed cooking "one-of-a-kind homemade dishes" along with hosting for family and friends-always bringing people together. It is impossible not to see her joy for collecting vintage and antiques items.
Liduvina is best known and will always best be remember by her family and friends for her compassionate, charming, and cheerful personality and her unique way of making everyone feel special and loved. (Mark 12:31 "Love our neighbor the same as you love yourself.")
