Lila Whitehead

Lila Beth Whitehead, 81 of Whitney went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2008. She was born on Dec. 6, 1926 in San Saba to John and Ethel Taft McNair. Lila Beth married Charles Herman Whitehead on Jan. 26, 1945 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 1978. She retired from the Methodist Children's Home in 1997. She was a member of the Towash Baptist Church in Whitney. She loved to go camping, crocheting, working crossword puzzles and listening to gospel music. She loved being with her family, especially great grandkids and her dog, Sadie. Also preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, Jack and Marion McNair. Survivors include her children, Patricia Hunt and husband, David, Doug Whitehead, Johnny Whitehead and wife, Donna all of Whitney, Tommy Whitehead and wife, Diane of Bayfield, CO., Mary Hilburn of Walling Bend, Jerry Whitehead and wife, Susie of Saginaw; brothers, Bill McNair and wife, Aralee of Schertz, John Wiley McNair and wife, Sue of Azle; sisters, Lily Sid Tucker and husband, Don of San Angelo, Ethelene Johnson of Redding, CA., 8 grandchildren, Dacia Wheeler and husband, Shawn of Mineral Wells, Brandon Whitehead and wife, Cindy of Whitney, Danielle Richardson and husband, Jon of Whitney, Raygenna Heath and husband, Kenny of Whitney, Jeremy Rogers of Texarkana, Travis Mason, Tiffany and Toni Haynes all of Saginaw; 8 great grandchildren, Lauren and Cole Wheeler of Mineral Wells, Morgan, Laney, and Easton Richardson of Whitney, Levi Whitehead of Whitney, Brady and Trevor Heath of Whitney.
