Lillian Martin

Lillian Twilla Martin, 89, of Duncanville passed away peacefully Friday, January 12, 2018, in Dallas. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. John Nader of First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

She was born October 28, 1928 to Troy Evans and Edna Reid Evans in Hillsboro, where she grew up. For 43 years, Twilla had a long and fulfilling career with Southwestern Bell which became AT&T. She also found pleasure in selling Avon products and visiting with friends at the Duncanville Senior Center.

She was loved by many and will forever be remembered by those who knew her.

Twilla was preceded in death by her parents; son, Marty Martin; and sister, Sandra Lee Varisco.

Survivors include her brother, Troy Evans; sister, Karolyn Lawson; and many nieces and nephews.
