Lillie Williams

Lillie Jean Williams, 73 of Whitney passed away August 25, 2011 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Lake Whitney Baptist Church in Laguna Park with Rev. Ken Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Whitney Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, August 26, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Lillie was born on June 17, 1938 in Monahans, Texas. She was the daughter of Albert Thomas and Lorraine (Shirtley) Foster and grew up in Monahans. On April 1, 1957, she married James Williams and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1988. During James’s military career she followed her husband to many places and moved to Whitney in 1987. She was a member of Lake Whitney Baptist Church and enjoyed feeding the youth on Wednesday nights.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Eva Lynn Desa and husband, Al of Sequin and Julie Ann Covey and husband Roy of Clifton; sister-in-law, Pam Foster of Fort Worth; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
