Linda Nadine Mudd Franklin, 77, of Fort Worth passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, in a Burleson hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Danny Gilliam of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro officiating. Burial will follow at Peoria Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at the funeral home.
Born January 26, 1941 in Fort Worth, she was the daughter of Leonard and Reba Nadine (Eggleston) Mudd. She lived in Tarrant County all of her life. On April 17, 1967, Linda was united in marriage to Travis Odell Martin “Tommy” Franklin and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2001. Tommy was a musician and Linda enjoyed being a part of his music. She was an avid NASCAR fan. She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star #343 in Rio Vista and #931 in Blum. Linda was of the Baptist faith.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Joy Shada.
Survivors include her children, Cindy Shorey of Corinth, ME, Gary McFalls, Jr. of Lincoln, ME, Melva Jo Fulkroad of Arcadia, LA, and Cheryl Brown of Fort Worth; two brothers, Terry Shada of Burleson and Clayton Shada of Allen; brother-in-law, Rollin R. Franklin; 26 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; Misty Eason, Travis Shastid, Scooter Brown, Dixxie Ma Brown, Nicole Hallman, Brandye and Connor McCarter, and Alina Rodriguez.
