Linda Goodman

Linda K. Goodman, 61, passed away at her home in Whitney on Tuesday, September 4, 2013, with her family by her side. She battled cancer for 11 years before losing the fight. The family will be having a memorial service on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 4:00 PM, at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney, with Pastor Gerald Dudley officiating.

Linda was born in Dallas, Texas on March 17, 1952, to the late Oscar Chism and Billie Louise (Cockrell) Humphrey. She lived in Dallas most of her life until moving to Whitney in 1979. She owned and operated the L&W Café until retiring in 1990. Linda was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her sister, Cathy McRae and husband, Joe of Whitney; niece Joanna Gilbert and husband, Luke and their littleman Casen of Whitney, nephew Michael Tanner and his wife, Nicole and their 3 children, Kolby, Kaden and Kinsley of Whitney, niece Jonell Simmons and Bruce Glover of Whitney, nephew John McRae and wife Elaine and their 2 children, Laurilie and Lorissa of Denton as well as many other nieces and nephews; and half sister, Durlene Deichmann and husband, Eric of Teuhacana.
