Linda Abbott (Lloyd) Kuykendall

Linda Abbott Kuykendall, 75, of Gun Barrel City passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Seasons Hospice in Dallas. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Hillsboro with Ken Lloyd officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2020, at Marshall and Marshall.

Linda was born March 8, 1945, to James and Lorene Lloyd. She married the love of her life Steve Kuykendall March 19, 2001 in Las Vegas. Linda graduated from Hillsboro High School. She worked as the manager of Dairy Queen and loved her job and her extra children. She adored and cherished her children unconditionally and she loved her grandchildren to the moon and back. Her family was her treasure. Linda enjoyed traveling the country with the love of her life Steve.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Lonnie F. Copeland and Inez Copeland, J.D. and Lorene Lloyd, her son Greg Ball, her brother Kenneth Lloyd, and sister Helen Copeland Day.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Steve Kuykendall; son J.R. and wife Shawnda Hailey Abbott; grandchildren Suzanna Ball Young and husband Michael Young and Joe Abbott; brothers Newman and wife Marie Lloyd, Darrell and wife Pat Ward, Bill and wife Beth Copeland, Lonnie Copeland, and Danny Copeland; sister Pat Hall; and special daughters Ruth Miller and Nancy Curlee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
