Lloyd Du Bois


Lloyd was born on November 20, 1921 in Forgan, Oklahoma, the son of the late George and Jessie Mesnard DuBois.


He lived in Oklahoma most of his life before moving to Dallas in 1969 and then to Whitney in 1991. He was involved in education for many years, working as a high school English and history teacher, guidance counselor, vice-principal and also taught drivers education.


He was married to his wife, Ernestine Outlaw for 63 years and 4 months. He was a wonderful husband and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending his summers in Woodland Park, Colorado with his wife at their cabin on 35 acres. He was the chairman of the Psychology department for many years at Dallas Baptist University retiring in 1997, then he worked as a psychologist retiring in 2001.


He served his country during World War II in the United States Air Corps. He was as a deacon and loved to sing in the choir. He was a member of the Fort Graham Baptist Church and sang in the choir. He loved nature and being outdoors. He was also a past member of the Rotary Club.


Survivors include his wife, Ernestine; children, Donna Ruth Cook and husband Jim, David Lloyd DuBois and wife Kimberly all of Whitney; sister, Bethene Blosser of Tryon, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Jessi Adele Dubois, Zachary DuBoius both of Fort Worth, Robert Kilmer of Toronto, Canada, Sarah Albright ad husband Danny of Whitney, Lance Cpl. Stephen Cook and wife Amy of Waco, Emily Cook of Whitney; 2 great grandchildren, Michael Aidan Albright and Alexis Jane Albright both of Whitney.
