Lloyd Ray Wax, 82 of Hillsboro passed away Thursday morning, August 31, 2017, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Born June 7, 1935 in Denham Springs, LA, he was the son of James Fred and Elizabeth (Roddy) Wax. He grew up in Louisiana and later moved to Texas. He served his country in the United States Air Force as a MP in Iceland and San Antonio. In March 1987, Lloyd was united in marriage to Mary Beth Wade. He was employed in the oil fields and for many years as a shipping receiving manager at Sears. Lloyd enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He was a member of the Montgomery County Search and Rescue Team and Friends of Texas Wildlife.
Preceding him in death were his parents and seven siblings. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Mary Beth Wax of Hillsboro; three children, Skipper Wax of Denham Springs, LA, Moni Coupel of Denver, CO, and Michael Francis of Sugarland; and a brother, Floyd Gay Wax of Denham Springs, LA.
