Lois Finch

Lois Finch, 82, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Danny Gilliam of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2015, at the funeral home.

Lois was born June 11, 1932 in Greenville to Robert and Ollie (Strickland) Dorsey. In 1950, she graduated from Hillsboro High School. On February 14, 1964, Lois was united in marriage to Maurice Finch and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2012. She worked at Hillsboro High School as a bookkeeper before becoming a stay at home mother. After raising her children, she and Maurice owned and operated Finch Cleaning Service for over 30 years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching birds, especially hummingbirds. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors include her two children, Jimmy Finch of Hillsboro and Susan Brumbalow of Itasca; and a grandson, Terrey Brumbalow and wife, Audrey, of Odessa.
