Loraine Huse

Loraine L. Huse, 97, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Malone. She will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012.

Loraine was born May 30, 1914 near Malone, where she grew up, to Theophil and Ottilie Huse. When she was a young girl, the family moved to Houston where her father died unexpectedly. In the seventies, she and her mother moved to Hillsboro. They entered Town Hall Estates in 1976 together and her mother preceded her in death a few months thereafter. Loraine touched many lives in her years at Town Hall, always sharing her smile. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Grover Huse.

Survivors include a number of cousins, including Dorothy Brooks of DeSoto and Billy Mandel of Mesquite.
