Lorean Perkins

Lorean Perkins, 93, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012, in Whitney at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney with Glenn Gray, Aquilla Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Garden of Memory. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 4, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Lorean was born March 25, 1919, in Aquilla, Texas, to the late Joseph Lester and Maud Minnie (Minnex) Noel. Mrs. Perkins graduated from Aquilla High School and lived in Hill County all of her life. On July 18, 1942, Lorean married Joe Perkins. She worked as a seamstress for 28 years and was a member of the Aquilla Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Geneva Panter and Elva Hensley ; and brothers Charlie Noel and John Noel.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Perkins of Whitney; sister Frances Barnes of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
