Lorene Helen (Hughes) Gullett

Lorene Helen Gullett, of Morgan, passed away on June 30, 2020, in Mansfield.   Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Pastor Keith Blanton officiating.   Burial will follow at Prairie Valley Cemetery near Whitney.  A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Lorene was born on July 12, 1930, in Malvern, Arkansas, to Jay and Bertha (Richman) Hughes.  She loved to cook, especially for her family, and also ran the kitchen for multiple churches.  She also loved to sew and made clothes for many of her children and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J. D. Gullett; a son, Jerry Don Gullett; daughters: Brenda Pittser and Carolyn Larrew; sisters, Irene Hightower and Anita Lingo; a brother, Cletus Hughes; and a granddaughter, Becky Westfall.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy (James) Rejcek of Ft. Worth and Pam (Mike) Braudaway of Arlington; her son, George (Kathryn) Westfall of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
