Lorene Yocham Pass, 93, of San Antonio passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Odyssey House in San Antonio. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Pleasant View Jawbone Cemetery in the Blanton Community of Hill County. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro
Lorene was born November 9, 1917 in Hill County to W. C. and Jewel (Pinckard) Yocham. On April 28, 1937 she married C. C. Pass and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1997. The couple moved to California in 1940 where they lived and raised their family. While living there, Lorene worked as a cook at a school for children with special needs for many years before retiring in 1985. In November 1996 they moved to San Antonio. She was a member of Blackstone Church of Christ in Tulare, CA.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Moree Allen, Janelda Brewer, and Polly Meseyodez; and four brothers, Files Yocham, J. P. Yocham, Pete Yocham, and Bill Yocham.
Survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Cooper and husband, George, of San Antonio and Donna Vieira and husband, Steve, of Tulare, CA; brother, Ted Yocham and wife, Jeanne, of Tulare, CA; sister, Bonnie Takvorian and husband, Takvor, of Visalia, CA; a grandson, Christopher Jones of San Antonio; a granddaughter, Hespir Seals and husband, Robert, of Tulare, CA; and seven great-grandchildren.
