Loretta Walker

Loretta “Jeanie” Walker, 85, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Melissa Graham officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2019 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.

Loretta was born October 12, 1933 in Hillsboro to R.L. and Mattie Mae (Keeton) Robertson. Loretta grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1951. She was united in marriage to Clyde “Pete” Walker on July 19, 1952 in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2001.

Loretta worked for Texas Power and Light as a head cashier working for them for 30(+) years before her retirement. She enjoyed dancing, going to the Casino, horse races, doing needle point and traveling, especially taking cruises. Loretta was also very active in the Hillsboro Ex Students Association.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Terry Spigner; two brothers, Robert “Bubba” Robertson and Ronnie Lynn Robertson.

Survivors included her children, Sharon Garrison and husband Mike of Athens, Texas, Clyde Walker Jr. And wife Debbie of Bynum, Texas; sister, Faye Tekell of Grand Prairie, Texas; sister in laws, Darlene Robertson of Grandview, Texas and Joyce Walker of Hillsboro, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Ricky, Josh, Zach, Jason, Justin, Jeremy, Rachael, Drew, Adam, and Mikka; 12 great grandchildren, Noah, Gabby, Lucas, Emma, Sara, Gavin, Alyssa, Ashton, Aurora, Bryce, Garrison, Sebastian, Nora, Hudson, Keelan, Daniel, Brett, Natalie DeAnn; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
