Louie Tharpe

Louie Grafton Tharpe, 76, of Aquilla, passed away on November 1, 2015, at a Mansfield hospital. No services are scheduled.

Louie was born on March 22, 1939, in Brantley, Alabama, to Louie and Lula Lee (McCall) Tharpe. On October 19, 1968, he married Anne MacLennan. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a boiler operator for the Navy and later for the Veteran’s Administration in Waco.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Tharpe of Aquilla; brothers, Clayton Tharpe of Callahan, Florida, Preston Tharpe of Samson, Alabama, Melton Tharpe of Griffin, Georgia and a sister, Virginia Gallopo of West Palm Beach, Florida.
