Louis Ramirez, 94, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Louis was born May 11, 1913 in Leroy, Texas the son of Lorenzo and Juanita Rizo Ramirez. As a young child he moved to Hillsboro and lived here most of his life. Louis was one of seven brothers who served in World War II at the same time. On October 27, 1950 he married Betty Clinger in Corey, PA. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid gardener. Louis was an equipment operator and a 50 year member of International Order of Operating Engineers Local 181 in Henderson, KY. He was of the Protestant faith. Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Daniel, Joseph, and Nick Ramirez; two sisters, Deonisia Ledesma and Carmen Richardson; son-in-law, Mike Mitchell; and a grandson, Louis Ramirez, III. Survivors include his wife, Betty Ramirez of Hillsboro; two children, Louis Ramirez and wife, Terri, of Hillsboro and Karen Mitchell of Little Elm; three brothers, Vincente Ramirez and Joe Ramirez both of Hillsboro and Steve Ramirez of Mishawaka, IN; four sisters, Naomi Gonzales of Waxahachie, Margaret Gonzales of Hillsboro, Emily Reyes of Denver, CO, and Josephine Torres of Whitney; five grandchildren, Michelle Ramirez, Amber Henry, Chance Ramirez, Zoie Hawley, and Sean Mitchell; ten great-grandchildren, Adeline, Haley, and Emma Jane Henry; Patrick, Stewart, Selah, Yosef, Timothy, and Shalom Hawley; and Mason Michael Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews.
