Louise Dees

Louise Dees, 88 of Whitney passed away on April 25, 2012.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 am, Friday, April 27, 2012 at Prairie Grove (Greenie) Cemetery near Aquilla with Rev. Lawrence Kirkpatrick officiating. Visitation will be from 7 - 9 pm, Thursday at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Louise was born on July 20, 1923 in Hill County, Texas to Buck and Nancy Kirkpatrick.
She had worked as an optical technician for International Optical in Dallas before retiring in 1972. An avid bingo player, she also enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors. She was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; first husband, F. A. Tanner on December 25, 1973; second husband, Sexton Troy Dees on November 20, 2006; daughter, Barbara Tanner, daughter-in-law, Alma Rose Tanner on August 4, 1998; six brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Cecil Wayne Tanner of Whitney, Ricky Lynn Tanner and wife, Daphne of Carrollton; 3 grandchildren, Michael Wayne Tanner and wife, Nicole of Whitney, Brian Tanner and wife, Ashley of Flower Mound, Angie Van Zandt and husband, Hunter of Willow Park; 5 great grandchildren, Kolby, Kaden and Kinslee Tanner, Hudson Van Zandt and Cody Tanner.
