Louise Dobbs

Louise Jordan Dobbs, 94, of Hillsboro passed away Friday evening, June 10, 2016, at Homestead Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hillsboro. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. John Nader of First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro prior to service time.

Louise, a fourth-generation Hill Countian, was born in Hillsboro on February 11, 1922 to Edgar Lytle and Anna Letha (Coleman) Jordan. She attended Hillsboro schools, graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1939, and attended Hillsboro Junior College. On October 31, 1948, Louise was united in marriage to Hugh Weldon “Jack” Dobbs. From 1965-1985, she was the bookkeeper for Dobbs and Company car dealership in Hillsboro. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her husband and parents.

Survivors include her son, Jack J. Dobbs and wife, Lodon; granddaughter, Rachel Collins and husband, Ryan; two grandsons, Ross Dobbs and wife, Kendra, and Nathan Dobbs and wife, Stephenie; three great-grandchildren, Tanner Collins, Noah Dobbs, and Dana Dobbs. She is also survived by five cousins.
