Louise G. Hagins, 88, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Town Hall Estates in Hillsboro. No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in the Spur Cemetery in Spur.

Louise was the daughter of Dan and Byrde (Hyatt) Shaw. She was born October 7, 1924 in Dickens, Texas. Her youth was mostly spent in Crosbyton, where she graduated from high school.

Not long after graduation, she married Bruce Bateman. On May 20, 1945 while serving his country in the U.S. Army, he was killed in action. Louise later married Junior Hagins on July 9, 1949, and he also preceded her in death on October 14, 1986.

An incredible friend and wonderful mother and grandmother, Louise spent most of her life in Post before moving to Hillsboro in 2008. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Danella Chrane and husband, Phil, of Hillsboro; three granddaughters, Shana Granger of Andrews, Dana Pannell of San Saba, and Laynie Johnson of Roanoke; and five great-grandchildren.
