Louise Rangeley, 85, of Hillsboro died Thursday, October 4, 2007, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Louise was born October 23, 1921 in Hillsboro, Texas, where she lived all of her life, the daughter of Charles ?Pop? Wesley and Maggie Mae Hammer Christian. On June 12, 1940 she married Bryce William Rangeley in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1959. When she was in her 70's, she took her first airplane ride and loved flying. It was a source of great pride to her that all of her grandchildren had earned at least one college degree. Raising flowers in her yard also provided her great enjoyment. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Rebekka Lodge in Whitney, and the Daughter?s of The Confederacy. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters, and three brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Faye Smith and husband, Bundy, of Hillsboro and Charlene Orr and husband, Mike, of Kaufman; a nephew whom she raised as a son, George Christian of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Bryce Smith of Hillsboro, Chris Orr and wife, Renea, of Forney, Glynis Durham and husband, Bo, of Kaufman, and Dr. Brad Christian of Hillsboro; and two great-granddaughters, Madison Orr and Hannah Durham. Memorials may be made to the Walnut Street Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1144, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
