Louise Rogers, 84, of Whitney passed away on July 30, 2008 in Hillsboro. She was born on October 29, 1923 in Alvin to Donald and Mary ElizabethBishop Bulls. She grew up in the Alvin area and graduated from the Alvin High School. She married Obie Rogers on June 19, 1941 and they owned and operated the Arcadia Café in Alvin. They moved to Garland in 1964 where she worked for Montgomery Ward for several years. In 1974 they retired to Whitney. She was a member of Whitney Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband and son, Donald Rogers in 1996 and sister, Bertha Guttery. Survivors: son, Richard Rogers and wife, Marsha of Whitney; grandchildren, Clayton Rogers, Melanie Button and husband, Donnie, Sheri Clarida, JoAnna Ruesch and husband, Mike, Lacey Montes and husband, Erik; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
