Louise Jean Wilson

Louise Jean Wilson, age 17, passed away on December 10, 2023 in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2023, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas, with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney.

Louise was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on May 16, 2006. She was raised all over the world due to her father’s military service and made Whitney her home when her father retired after more than 20 years of service. She has called Whitney her home since 2016 and developed deep roots with family and friends in the local area.

As a teenager, Louise volunteered many hours at the Lutheran Sunset Pot O’ Gold Thrift Store in Clifton where she started volunteering at the early age of 11 years old. She was adored by many and welcomed in as family. Over the years, she also gave her time to Lake Whitney Senior Center, Clifton Mobile Food Pantry, Hill County Paw Pals, Wreaths Across America and 40 Days for Life.

Louise was driven in her scholastic pursuits and finished high school a year early while simultaneously taking classes at Hill College. She was just a few classes shy of completing her associate degree. Her hopes and dreams were to travel the world, especially Korea, and to work in law enforcement with a dog by her side.

One of her favorite trips was when her father took her back to her birthplace in Germany and to also visit the Eiffel tower in Paris, France. She had a heart for animals and recently rescued a puppy from the local car wash in town. But, most of all, cats were her favorite.

Louise was a caring and gentle soul with a lovely personality that could light up a room. She may think she was “allergic” to people, but she was not. Her life had far reaching impacts that only now we are able to comprehend. She is forever in our hearts and memories. We know she is up there with God singing and dancing in the perfect, peaceful landscape of heaven.

Until we meet again in the new heaven and new earth, we will miss you dearly my love. Oh, my love, our baby girl, we love you so!

Romans 8:18 says, “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.”

Louise is survived by her parents Daniel A. Wilson and Krista L. (Amoling) Wilson and younger brother, Gabriel Wilson; uncle Leo Amoling and wife Emily of Pennsylvania; uncle Alex Summerfield and wife Mads of California; uncle Randall Wehmeyer of Texas;  uncle Russell Wehmeyer and wife Tami of Texas; uncle Deven Wilson and wife Hilary of Washington; aunt Jennifer Mitchell and wife Nicole of Texas; cousins Thomas, Iris, William, Brayden, Ashton, Trinity, Asher and Evan; grandparents Chris and Diane Amoling of Pennsylvania; grandparents Freddie and Linda Wehmeyer of Texas, grandparents Fred and Nancy Wilson of Texas; great-grandparent Allen Amoling of Maine.
