Lovell Rosson

Lovell Rosson, 84, of Milford passed away on March 31, 2012 in Clifton. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. Ken James officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to Noon on Thursday prior to service time at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Lovell was born on June 9, 1927 in Coleman, Texas to the late Charlie and Barbara (Downey) Wilson. She grew up in Leaday and graduated from Mozelle High School. On April 13,1951 in Abilene, Lovell married Eldon Rosson and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2000. Mrs. Rosson was very active as an adult leader in the 4-H club and received various awards for her accomplishments in the club. She was a great seamstress and also gardened in her spare time. Family members also preceding her in death were two sisters, Oddessa Holland and Edna Garrett; four brothers, Bolin, J.C., Paul, and Curtis Wilson; two infant brothers, Melvin and Jay Wilson.

Survivors include her children, Lodon Dobbs and husband, J.J., of Hillsboro, Sherry Melton and husband, Don, of College Station, E.C. Rosson, Jr. and wife, Kim, of Milford, Teresa Strickland and husband, Brian, of Austin, and Melesa Hudson and husband, David, of Spring; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and another one expected soon; as well as many nieces and nephews.
