Lucille Keeton

Lucille Keeton, 85, of San Antonio passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Stone Oak Care Center in San Antonio. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Wayne Welborn officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday.

Lucille was born October 30, 1928 in Abilene to Walter Wesley and Mary Agnes (Owens) Welborn. On December 31, 1946, she married Mark Keeton and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2002. She had lived in San Antonio most of her life and had also lived in Hillsboro and Abilene for 10 years. For 25 years she was employed with State Farm Insurance, retiring in 1985 as a Customer Service Representative. A very hospitable person, Lucille loved to entertain family and friends in her home. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing dominos, and bible studies. She was a member of First Church of The Nazarene in San Antonio. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a grandson, Kyle Johnson.

Survivors include her four children, Lydia Wheeler and husband, Dave, of Yukon, OK, Ken Keeton and wife, Bonnie, of Edmond, OK, and Nadine Chadwell and husband, Joe, and Marcille Villalobos and husband, Jesse, all of San Antonio; three brothers, Dan Welborn and wife, Emerita, of San Antonio, David Welborn of Columbus, GA, and Bruce Welborn of New Braunfels; two sisters, Mary Ann Glenn and husband, Pat, of Blanco and Margie Sue Grimes and husband, Hassell, of Cuthand; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
