Luisa Castillo

Luisa Castillo, 94, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, May 9, 2016, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Hill Apostolic Church in Hillsboro with Pastor Alfredo Montes officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Luisa was born February 22, 1922 in Charco, TX to Juan and Luisa (Garza) Montes. Proud of her Baptist faith, she loved her Lord with all her heart and was baptized at a young age in Altus, OK. Luisa married Pablo Castillo in Mathis and they were married for 40 years before his passing on October 13, 1987. She was a homemaker and seamstress.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and eleven siblings.

Family was everything to Luisa. Those left to cherish her memory include four daughters, Mary Trejo and husband, Lorenzo, and Adela Alcala, both of Hillsboro, Nina Fuentes and husband, Sabino, of Corpus Christi, and Miguela Castillo of Hillsboro; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
