Lynda Frank

Biography

Lynda Frank passed away on June 23, 2019 peacefully from this life, at the age of 78, into the eternal joy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her family rejoices with her in her final graduation, knowing she is rejoicing with the Saints, including her husband, Milton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. Burial will be at Hillcrest Garden of Memory following the funeral service.

Born in the LaSalle community (near Mexia, Texas), to Commodore Dewey Anderson and Freddie Irene (Battles) Anderson, her early childhood was in rural Texas, until, at age 8, she and her family moved to Hillsboro to inherit the homestead of her maternal Grandfather, Lemuel Battles, a member of Hill County’s First Families.

While at Hillsboro High, she met and began a lifelong love and partnership with Milton Darol Frank. They married while teenagers, and she began the life she cherished as wife and mother …her first priorities.

Lynda loved learning, history and was a voracious reader. She valued loyalty, truth and being part of the answer whenever there was a need, so she gave of herself, her time and her love to her family as well as many others who can also testify of her positive impact on their lives.

Among her favorite pastimes were keeping her yard, her roses and her home in order: A discipline she passed along to her kids.

She became a follower of Jesus at a very young age, and was always an active and faithful member of the Church. At Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro, she served on committees, was a mentor and never stopped learning of and loving her Savior.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milton Frank, she is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Frank) Teel and husband, J.Paul, her son Mark D. Frank, and wife Michele, her brother, James Anderson and sister, Carolyn Rawlins, along with an extended family of nieces, nephews, and her wonderfully supportive Church family of Hillsboro Central Baptist Church.

The Family suggests that any wishing to make a donation in Lynda’s name should consider giving to Samaritan’s Purse International Christian Relief (www.SamaritansPurse.org) Ministry and/or Hillsboro Central Baptist Church “Missions Fund”.
