Lynette Lea (Clearman) Moore

Lynette Lea Moore, age 65 of Whitney, Texas passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, at her residence.A  Celebration of Life will held at  1:30 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at White Bluff Chapel located at 1072 White Bluff Drive, Whitney TX 76692. Lynette Moore was born November 6, 1956 in Hereford, Texas to Hugh Lee and Dorothy Sam (Mackaskey) Clearman.

Lynette graduated from Hereford High School in 1974 one year before her other classmates and was active in many activities including 4H where she raised an Amarillo Livestock Champion Steer and went on to University of Texas Austin when she decided to take a winter break on a college trip to Aspen with college friends and ended of staying through the winter working in a hotel cleaning rooms in the morning and downhill / cross country skiing in the afternoon and then onto West Texas State University Canyon obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Education. Prior to moving to Whitney in 2016 Lynette lived in Amarillo, Haltom City, Colorado City and Lubbock. While in Lubbock, Lynette taught at the Lubbock County Detention Center, Dunbar Junior High and Coronado High School where she started the DECA program with her students and opened a school store run by her students. She was active with Lubbock Boy Scout Troop 505, going on all the campouts, delivering and picking up American flags every holiday and holding the position of Troop Committee Chair. Lynette was active with St.Johns United Methodist and Second Baptist in Lubbock. After retiring from teaching in 2015, Lynette moved with her husband Jerry to White Buff where she became active with White Bluff Chapel, making new lasting friendships, golf, boating, bridge, handbells, piano lessons, ESL, Hospice volunteer, AA Whitney Group member and Author of “WHAT WAS I THINKING? I married a man with triplets”.

She is preceded in death by Husband, Jerry Taylor – Pampa; Husband, George Mcwhorter – Clyde; Husband, Jim Aldridge – Lubbock.

Lynette is survived by her husband Jerry Moore - Whitney, Aunt Mollie Deford of Abilene, Sisters Carol Langner and brother-in-law Robin Langner – Abilene, Caye Felton and Brother-in-Law Russ Felton Mansfield, Brother Scott Clearman – HoustonSister-in-law Jennifer Clearman, Sons Derek Taylor and Daughter-in-law Jessica Taylor, grandsons Zachary & amp, Bradley. Sam Moore and Daughter-in-law Shelby Moore and granddaughter Everly. Stepson Tyler Andrew Morris and his mother Robin Moore – Plano, Nieces Madisen Tate and husband James Tate with daughter Posie and son Augustus – Lubbock, Katy Ebbert and partner David Sides - Georgetown, Christine Felton and partner Lynae Carroll – Austin, Anna Clearman – Pueblo, Kathryn Clearman – Houston.

Lynette will forever be remembered as a woman that you knew loved you as soon as she met you, along with her amazing smile, beautiful blue eyes, gray hair with purple tint and for her hugs that she loved to give and receive. Lynette will be lovingly missed by all those that ever had a chance to meet her.
