Mabell Walker

Mabell Walker, 98, of Hillsboro died Friday, June 8, 2007 at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. She was the daughter of William and Nora Mae Mc Conathy Hicks. She lived most of her life around Hillsboro. She married Lon Everett and he preceded her in death on March 2, 1968. She later married Buck Walker and he preceded her in death. She cared for several elderly people until she was in her 90's. She was a member of Peoria Baptist Church in Peoria and Eastern Star in Whitney. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Zada Thomas, Opal Lindsey; brothers, Bill Hicks and Curtis Hicks. Survivors include her son, Jesse Lee Franklin, Jr. and wife, Bonnie, of Hillsboro; sister-in-law, Jo Hicks of Dallas; grandson, Tom Franklin of Hillsboro; 2 great-grandchildren, Taylor Franklin of Garland, Stephanie Rider and husband, Skylar, of Garland; several nieces and nephews Memorials: Charity of their choice
