Mae Priddy, 96, of Whitney passed away on August 29, 2004 at Town Hall Estates in Whitney. She was the daughter of James Lewis and Ella Kuhn West. She first married Rayburn Upchurch and later married Bill Priddy in 1943. She had lived in Whitney for over 40 years; taught an adult Sunday School class and was a seamstress for many people in the community as well as her family. She was a member of Whitney Missionary Baptist Church in Whitney. She was preceded in death by both husbands; son, Leon Upchurch and grandson, Billy Grimard; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include her children, Robert Upchurch and wife, Lois of Covington, Ruth Burks of Fort Worth, Sue Priddy and husband, Dean of Waco, Ollie Grimard and husband, Phil of Denver, CO.; brother, Frank West of Houston; sisters, Virgie Brewer of Llano, Mary Lou Petty of Brownwood, Virginia Nelson of Burnett; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 337 Carr, Hillsboro, Texas 76645
