Maggie Bernice Anderson, 68, of Whitney, passed on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in Temple.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Johnny Young officiating. Burial will follow at Towash Cemetery in Whitney. Visitation will be from 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2013, at the funeral home.

Maggie was born on December 25, 1944 in Whitney, Texas, to the late Robert, Sr. and Cora Lee (Wilson) Anderson. She was a certified nurse’s aide and worked at both Park Plaza Nursing Home and Town Hall in Whitney. Sewing and cooking as well as planting flowers were pastimes she particularly enjoyed. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ida Anderson and Ruby B. Anderson; and one brother, Robert Anderson.

Maggie is survived by daughters, Anita Anderson Richmond and Arishall Anderson, both of Whitney; brothers, Ivy Gene Anderson, James Anderson and wife, Ruby, Jasper Anderson and wife, Martha, Joe Anderson and wife, Queen, and Charles Anderson and girlfriend, Willie Spencer, all of Whitney; one sister, Viola Anderson of Whitney; three grandchildren, Ashton Richmond, Dakota Richmond and Devon Richmond, all of Whitney; plus a host of nieces and nephews.
