Jim was born Dec. 30, 1937 in Arlington, Texas son of Robert Lee and Ethel Bellamy Redden. Jim served in the United States Army during Viet Nam in the military police and upon returning to the states he was Provost Marshall at Fort Bliss, TX and then served in the Medical Corp at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC., retiring in 1982. He taught ROTC at Harrison Central High School in Gulfport, MS and Mac Arthur High School in Irving, TX and completed his teaching career with Fort Worth ISD. On April 9, 1988, Jim married Cynthia McClungDriessen. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Bobby Gene. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia of Whitney; children, Lezlie Lynne Redden of Richardson, Jeffrey Donald Redden and wife, Candace, of Plano, and Craig Lee Redden and wife, Betsy, of Pennsylvania; and grandchildren, Cailan, Jianna, Morgan, Haley and William.
