Mamie Esmond

Mamie was born October 6, 1904 in Hill County, Texas to William Columbus and Docia Jean Hight. She lived in Hill County all of her life and for the past 83 years in the Woodbury Community. She first married Thomas R. Mabry in 1920 and he preceded her in death on September 17, 1988. Later she married Joe Esmond in 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 22, 1994. Also preceding her in death was an infant girl. She was an LVN owner/operator in a nursing home for 5-6 years. She was a member of the Osceola Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Eudene Cardwell of Woodbury; a son, Ray Mabry, Sr. of Woodbury; brother, Otis Hight of Itasca; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and three great-great-great grandchildren.
