Marcia Ann Patricelli, 63 of Whitney, passed away on December 22, 2017. A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Marcia was born in Rochester, NY, October 30, 1954, to Marcellino and Effie (Barone) Patricelli and grew up there, attended schools there and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1972. After graduation from high school, she attended SUNY Brockport and graduated in 1976 with her bachelor’s degree in physical education.

Marcia moved to Texas and began teaching elementary PE in the Irving Independent School District where she remained until her retirement on May 29, 2007. After retirement, she stayed busy by volunteering at the Women’s Auxiliary of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club as well as working at Target part time. She loved collecting sports memorabilia.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include sisters, Susan Marfione and husband, Stephen of Rochester, NY, Judith Stone and husband, Joseph of Whitney and Margaret McCloskey and husband, Michael of Rochester N.Y; a nephew, Matthew Marfione of Rochester, NY; a niece, Meghan Barnhardt and husband, John of Rochester, NY; four great-nephews, Michael and Lucas Barnhardt of Rochester, NY and Thayden McCartney and Joseph Whipple of Whitney.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assn., P.O. Box 841125, Dallas, TX 75284-1125.
