Margaret "Lou" Herring

Margaret “Lou” Herring, 85, of Fort Worth passed away Friday, January 10, 2014, at Sunrise Senior Living in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held at Noon on Monday, January 13, 2013, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. Max Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Lou was born July 23, 1928 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. On September 4, 1948, she married Bill G. Herring. The couple lived in Fort Worth from 1949-1993, at which time they moved to Granbury. For 40 years, she was a secretary at Frigidaire Corporation. Following the death of her husband of 52 years, she moved back to the DFW area. She was a very active member of First Christian Church while living in Granbury.

Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her son, Mike Herring of Fort Worth; and several cousins, including Leonard S. and Josie Herring of Denton and George and Pat Herring of Hillsboro.
