Margaret Lacour

Margaret LaCour, 85, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Clay Strawn and Rev. Michael D. McGuire officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the funeral home.

Margaret was born August 26, 1930 in Pineville, Louisiana to Ernest and Margaret Cupples. On April 5, 1947, she was united in marriage to Joe LaCour, Sr. in Colfax, LA. In 1952, the couple moved to the DFW metroplex, settling in Arlington where she was very involved with the Pentecostal church there. They relocated to Hillsboro in 1991 where she was also involved with her church, First United Pentecostal Church.

She loved traveling and camping with her husband all across the country, especially visiting national parks. In her spare time, she enjoyed interior decorating, floral arranging, and reading her Bible and mysteries.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 68 years, Joe LaCour, Sr. on February 29, 2016; and a son, Joe LaCour, Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry LaCour and wife, Brenda, of Milford and Darrell LaCour and wife, Vovo, of Red Oak; daughters-in-law; Diann LaCour and Kristi LaCour, both of Arlington and Darlene LaCour of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Jamie LaCour Christensen, Austin LaCour, Chris LaCour, Aimee Rodriguez, and Keith LaCour; two step-grandchildren, Calvin Balch and Amber Villarreal; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
