Margaret Mckown

Margaret Inez McKown, 86, of Itasca died Thursday, January 31, 2008 in Itasca. Margaret was born August 22, 1921 in Shiloh, Texas the daughter of Herman and Evelyn Jenkins Medford. On October 16, 1942 she married George William McKown and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1992. An avid pie cook, Margaret loved to cook for people and she loved cleaning house. She was of the Baptist faith. Also preceding her in death were her parents and three sisters, Doris Thurston, Mavis Fisher, and Modena Medford. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Kight and husband, Charles, of Itasca; and five grandchildren, Kevin Kight of Itasca; Jason Pape of Gonzales; Jason Kight of Washington; and Melissa and Jessica Kight both of Kingsbury, TX.
